In his book "The Fourth Turning Is Here", Neil Howe reviews the cyclical nature of history and how that cyclical nature enables us to better understand the how and why of the events of our current world. In our meetings we summarized and discussed the book and how his concepts can help guide us through the current challenging times. Many people of the "Boomer" generation fondly remember how the world was when they were growing up. It is natural for them to wish that the world could go back to those times, or at least experience the stability, peace, prosperity, and seurity that they did. Sadly, history cannot repeat itself, and longing for the good old days will not make them return. Therefore, it is necessary to stop looking back (driving in reverse) and begin to learn how to use what we have learned to guide the younger generations to a brighter future by acting as "Edlers". This presentation provides some approaches to how this can be done.
